For an air-oil separator, the pleated filter paper construction directly determines compressed-air outlet quality. Where standard separators use single- or two-layer paper, Fil Filter air-oil separator elements are built from up to eight distinct layers, each with its own micron rating and durability contribution. This multi-layer construction multiplies oil-mist retention and delivers compressed air at the upper grades of ISO 8573.

Every manufacturer compressor design is different: screw, piston, oil-flooded, oil-free. The Fil Filter engineering team configures the layer stack, pleat density and housing per manufacturer request. Custom Air-Oil Separator Test Equipment

The real performance of an air-oil separator is how much oil it actually retains from compressed air; a parameter ordinary filter laboratories cannot measure. The Fil Filter laboratory holds in-house custom test equipment built around aerosol-particle measurement instruments. The system measures oil mist at the compressed-air outlet in real time and reports the filter's oil-retention capacity to mg/m³ precision.

Through this test equipment every batch is validated for residual oil content (typically below 3 mg/m³), pressure drop at 500 hours (below 0.3 bar) and service life (500 to 4,000 hours depending on operating conditions). The performance curve of a typical catalogue separator stays invisible in the field; this system measures it and reports it.
