Filtration / Coolant
The cooling loop stays clean,
the engine runs reliably.
Against scale, rust and casting debris, coolant cleanliness is preserved; reliable flow is supported through the water pump, the radiator and the cylinder-head passages.
Overview
Clean coolant,
controlled engine temperature.
Engine coolant does not always stay as clean as it appears. Casting debris, scale from hard-water top-ups and oxide deposits released from metal surfaces can circulate through the water pump, the radiator and the cylinder-head passages.
Fil Filter coolant filters connect to the bypass loop and help remove these contaminants before they damage the circuit. Heavy-duty variants can be developed with an integrated SCA additive structure for additional corrosion control and a stable coolant chemistry.

Why It Matters
Uninterrupted cooling
against rust, scale and deposits.
Contamination in the cooling loop is not merely a change in fluid colour. Rust, scale, casting debris and oxide deposits can wear water-pump faces, reduce radiator efficiency and block the narrow cooling passages of the cylinder head.
A coolant filter helps keep the system clean by capturing these contaminants before they continue circulating through the loop. The water pump, the radiator, the cylinder head and other critical cooling-circuit components then operate more reliably across the full service interval.
Water Pump Protection
The water pump is among the components most quickly affected by dirty coolant. Clean coolant protects the seal faces, the impeller and the bearing assembly from abrasive particles and supports reliable pump operation.
Cooling Passages Stay Clear
The fine cooling passages in the cylinder head are sensitive to scale and debris build-up. Narrowing in these passages can cause localised temperature rises and a drop in cooling performance. Filtration preserves circuit cleanliness and supports continuous flow.
Corrosion Control
SCA-equipped variants help keep the coolant chemistry in balance. An additive structure that reduces corrosion risk on cast-iron, aluminium and brazed components supports the cooling loop staying within the operating window targeted by the manufacturer.
Engineering Features
High Dirt-Holding Capacity Media
Filter media selected for the application helps remove scale, rust, lime and casting debris from the cooling circuit. The objective is to keep the coolant flow clean without creating unnecessary pressure loss.
Optional SCA Additive Structure
Dedicated variants for heavy-duty applications can be developed with Supplemental Coolant Additive support. This structure helps the coolant chemistry stay in balance, reduces corrosion risk and adds protection against cylinder-liner cavitation.
Bypass-Loop Operation
A controlled fraction of the coolant flow passes continuously through the filter. The main cooling circuit retains its flow while contaminants in the loop are progressively removed from the system.
Corrosion-Resistant Metal Construction
Surface-treated end caps and a steel housing structure are developed with glycol-based coolants and thermal cycling in mind. The filter itself is designed not to act as a starting point for corrosion in the cooling circuit.
Spin-On Service Format
A single-piece spin-on structure provides fast, controlled service. The filter is replaced as a complete unit at the specified mounting torque, with a clean and practical maintenance process and no open-element handling.
OE-Aligned Service Life
Filter life is targeted around the engine manufacturer's cooling-system maintenance intervals and operating conditions. The goal is to support coolant-circuit cleanliness and system reliability across the service period.
Product Families
The cooling loop stays clean,
the protection chemistry stays in balance.
Coolant filters are developed to remove scale, rust, lime and casting debris from the loop. Depending on the application, they can carry only the particulate-capture role or also support coolant chemistry through an SCA additive structure. Both formats are designed to protect the cooling circuit and to support reliable flow through the water pump and the cylinder-head passages.
A spin-on filter structure developed to capture scale, rust, lime and casting debris circulating in the cooling loop. Installed in the bypass circuit, it continuously filters a controlled fraction of the coolant and supports system cleanliness without affecting main-circuit flow.
Best For
Cooling circuits where particulate control alone is sufficient and coolant chemistry is managed separately.
